00:00:36.254 --> 00:00:38.976
The first job I had was as an
interviewer for a marketing

00:00:39.011 --> 00:00:41.807
research company - you know,
one of those people in

00:00:41.842 --> 00:00:43.472
malls with clipboards.

00:00:43.507 --> 00:00:46.613
I've never been a shy person,
but this job taught me how

00:00:46.648 --> 00:00:49.530
to present myself with
confidence to total strangers.

00:00:49.565 --> 00:00:52.687
I had to be polite, and
accept rejection gracefully

00:00:52.722 --> 00:00:54.130
when it occurred.

00:00:54.165 --> 00:00:56.737
I also had to be thorough
and accurate in filling out

00:00:56.772 --> 00:00:58.265
the questionnaires.

00:00:58.300 --> 00:01:00.522
This involvement with
marketing research helped me

00:01:00.557 --> 00:01:03.957
make the decision to minor in Marketing in college.
